Going on vacation is something 95% of people love, seeing as there’s always a grumpy grandpa who will complain the entire time! However, it’s the journey to your destination itself that puts a damper on the mood of that majority, and cheering yourself up when you’re stuck on back roads with a headache and no radio signal is next to impossible.

However, it can be done when you finally learn your lesson and prepare for moments like this. So whether you like to roadtrip across the landscapes a country has to offer, or you’re simply sick of what camping does to your hair (and happiness!), this is the post for you. Here are a couple of tips for your next adventure.

Wear Insulated Clothing

And you’re going to want to find something that’s waterproof as well! Insulated material tends to stop working when it gets wet, and that’s extremely likely to happen if you’re hiking through the woods and camping in fields.

It’ll keep you as snug as a bug in a rug (who could very well be wrapped up in your camping blankets right now), and you’re not going to feel the rain seeping down your back when the skies inevitably open. After all, it can often only get worse when your car breaks down and all you have is a small tent to stay safe in!

You can also remove layers if it gets hotter whilst still having a warm and dry foundation on underneath, so don’t forget to pack plenty of layerable clothing in a backpack or suitcase.

Pack Snacks Everywhere

Something that can really cure a headache is food and water, so make sure you’ve got plenty of these supplies stashed all over your car or in your backpack. Getting yourself to keep going when all you want to do is curl up and fall asleep in the backseat is hard if you don’t have little energy bundles to munch on at your disposal!

But you need to pack the right foods at the same time. Trail mixes are always popular, as well as a bit of Jerky, some pancake mix for a good breakfast, and those dehydrated packets we’d never look twice at otherwise!

Even Get a Better Vehicle!

It’s not only the great outdoors that can get to us when we’re travelling, but being in the center of a foreign city can do exactly the same thing. But you’re meant to be on holiday, and it just won’t do to be catching a bus that goes who knows where with a sense of panic in your chest!

So look into alternative ways to travel, such as via http://fllimoride.com/. Hiring a limo for you and your travelling friends is going to put a smile on everyone’s face, as well as give you a place to actually relax when you’re still on the way to the hotel.

Traveling the great outdoors is going to be strenuous, but you can easily enjoy it as you go.
